Nancy began practicing Bikram Yoga in 2001 after being injured in a severe car crash while working undercover as a Police Officer. The crash left two of her discs in her spine bulging and pinching nerves causing severe pain. The pain became so unbearable she was taking pain pills, muscle relaxers, and antidepressants to deal with the loss of her job. Once she discovered she could live pain free from a regular practice of Bikram Yoga without the use of pharmaceuticals, she became a Certified Bikram Yoga Instructor in 2002. During this transformation, she discovered a new way to help people.
